Castle Rushen (Cashtal Rushen) is a remarkably well-preserved medieval castle in Castletown, the ancient capital of the Isle of Man. Built over 800 years ago for a Viking king, it later served as a fortress, a Civil War stronghold, and a Victorian prison.
